Anyplace that will let and teach me smithing?

i live in Ga the southern part, and i would like to know if there is any place nearby that will teach and allow me to smith. I ask because i saw an episode of myth busters where there was a place that did exactly that and i do like metalwork, though I have never used high heat before and would like to learn from people who know what they are doing, and i have no idea on the safety needed. oh and i want to specialize in knife and arrow-point making
