Anyone with local knowledge of the Cali Coast?

Hi! I am writing a book that I want to take place in Cali, once crucial thing I need is a beach that has a tall like mountain or cliff nearby (like you can stand on the cliff and look down on the beach) it would be really great if that cliff had a cave or trees on it. Is there anyplace like this in Cali?? If so please describe it if you can in addition to telling me the name of the area. Thanks so much!
