How does kaytee exact hand feeding formula work? (please don't answer if you have not used this formula)?

I am used to preparing Lafeber's Instant Nutri-Start hand feeding formula. I had a couple of questions. The first one being, do the measurements from water to formula have to be exact from what it says on the instructions or can i just mix it until it feels like pudding? Does it have to get warmed up before feeding or can it be at room temperature? If the baby bird does finish it from the syringe can i leave it there for the next feeding will it go bad? One last thing can I give it to a baby canary or is it just for parrots? Please only answer if you use this formula. I know they have a video in their website, but it just gives as much information as the instructions. Thanks for you time.
